The OnBase workflows your business runs on — observed, assured, self-healed.
When OnBase stalls, business stalls — invoices, claims, audits, customer commitments. Reveille pioneered Content Observability to keep that from happening: continuous coverage of OnBase services, databases, capture, Unity and Web clients, REST APIs, and workflow processes, with self-healing automation built in.

The OnBase server is up. The invoice didn’t post.
Your IT team can watch OnBase server health, CPU, and uptime. What they can’t see is what’s happening to the documents and workflows inside OnBase — the invoices, claims, and audit packages that actually drive the business. The platform is at 99.99%. The capture batch still stalled before payroll closed. Platform SLA is not workflow SLA.
Infrastructure monitoring ≠ OnBase health
CPU, memory, and uptime tell you the server is running. They don’t tell you whether the Unity Client logged in, whether the Brainware batch progressed, or whether the workflow timer fired. Most OnBase failures live above the OS — in the application layer generic tools can’t see.
Silent failures live in the workflow
An OnBase failure rarely shows up as a CPU spike. It surfaces as a delayed invoice, a stalled claim, a missed retention deadline, or a failed audit pull — by which point the damage is downstream and the business is asking IT what happened.
Vendors grade their own homework
Hyland reports on Hyland’s platform availability. Reveille is the independent record of your OnBase service levels — the verification audit, risk, and compliance teams can rely on, written by a measurement layer loyal to the customer.
Every layer of the OnBase stack. Application-aware.
80+ prebuilt, application-aware tests cover the components that actually drive OnBase service levels — not generic infrastructure pings. Wizards and templates spin up a working monitor in minutes, drawn from a library that already understands OnBase architecture. Zero relearning.
OnBase servers reachable
Application, database, file, and line-of-business server connectivity, continuously verified.
Services and APIs
OnBase Services, AppServer, AppNet, Web Services, REST Services, Brainware Capture, IIS pools, and server free space.
SQL Server health
SQL Server services, database size, backups, transaction log backups, deadlocks, memory, and batch requests.
Web and Unity Client
Real login, search, retrieve, import, and logout response times across Web and Unity clients — what end users actually experience.
Brainware and document flow
External batches, untouched documents, document counts, awaiting-export volumes, aging batches, and exported documents.
Queues, locks, exceptions
Disk groups, committed and uncommitted batches, process and batch locks, workflow timer errors, and license usage.
Access and anomalies
Security log events, failed transactions, document access counts, suspicious transactions, same-user/different-IP detection.
Full transaction visibility
Token acquisition, document upload, archive, retrieve, delete, and session disconnect — measured end to end.
Business outcomes
Queue depth by process, items aged past threshold, STP volume to ERP, and workflow backlogs — claims, loans, invoices.
Every test above ships out of the box for OnBase. See all our monitoring, metrics, and use cases for OnBase
Alert. Drill in. Resolve.
Detection is half the job. Reveille closes the loop — from a single threshold breach to a root-cause view in the affected queue, batch, workflow, or service.
Anomaly detected
AI/ML dynamic thresholds learn normal OnBase patterns and cut alert noise from workload variation.
Context-packaged alert
Notifications arrive with the metrics, affected components, and troubleshooting data attached.
Self-healing remediation
When thresholds breach, Reveille can automatically trigger recovery actions — resolving issues before the ticket queue fills.
See every test and dashboard in action.
Over 80 pre-configured OnBase tests and over 85 dashboard metrics, running against a live OnBase environment on Reveille’s sample estate. One field, and you’re in.
OnBase operational KPIs, out of the box.
85+ prebuilt dashboard metrics turn OnBase signals into measurable key performance indicators — tracked, charted, and reported through OnBase-aware dashboards.
- Server performance, database activity, and capture processing
- Process and system exceptions, license utilization
- Unity Client and Web Client performance trends
- Dynamic threshold detection powered by machine learning
See who did what, where — and what was unusual.
Reveille uses patented collectors to observe real OnBase user activity, turning every login, retrieve, search, and document action into auditable, queryable insight.
- Track adoption and end-user response times continuously
- Detect suspicious or abnormal access patterns (insider threat)
- Same-user/different-IP and content-access-breach alerts
- Integrates with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint to speed mean time to resolution
A service level you can put in writing.
Set the threshold for each OnBase process — retrieval time, queue age, batch completion — and Reveille measures attainment against it continuously. The number you report to the business is measured, not estimated.
What Reveille customers running OnBase actually see
Typical results across the Content Observability customer base — with a representative customer story below. For the admin's view, watch three OnBase administrators from the University of Colorado, First Citizens Bank, and a manufacturer on running OnBase as a business-critical system — one of them a Reveille customer.
“In the first year of implementation, Reveille saved us approximately $200,000 and continues to reduce trouble tickets generated by our users by 80%. We use the automated monitoring results from Reveille to improve our document capture operations.”
Common OnBase failures, diagnosed
Ranked causes and fixes for the OnBase symptoms administrators search for most. Each one gives the fix away in full before Reveille is mentioned.
OnBase is one of many platforms Reveille observes
One observability layer across every major Enterprise Content Management, Intelligent Document Processing, and automation platform — so the OnBase signal feeds the same console as the rest of your stack.
