Content Observability · Metrics

Know exactly how every content and document process is performing — measured, not guessed.

Reveille Metrics turn operational data into business-critical insight — more than 1,000 purpose-built tests capturing metrics that continuously measure the health, performance, and reliability of every ECM, IDP, and automation process, so you can prove service levels, reduce risk, and decide with confidence. Measurement is the proof layer of Content Observability.

The measurement gap

Availability is one number. Whether the work actually got done is a different one.

A platform can report 99.99% availability while invoices sit in a backlog, OCR jobs misclassify, and bot queues quietly age past their service level. Reveille Metrics measure what actually happened to the content — throughput, completion times, exception rates, and service-level attainment across every platform. Platform SLA is not workflow SLA.

01

A green dashboard is not a met SLA

Uptime says the service answered. It doesn’t say the invoice cleared, the batch finished before payroll, or the bot completed. Reveille measures completion, throughput, and service-level attainment — not just whether the server was up.

02

What you can’t measure, you can’t prove

Audit, risk, and compliance need evidence, not assurances. Reveille turns operational data into compliance-ready proof — availability %, allowed-downtime-adjusted service level, and resolution times you can put in front of a regulator.

03

Thresholds that learn the workload

Static thresholds alarm at midnight and miss the slow afternoon drift. Reveille AI forecasts dynamic upper and lower bounds from history (Prophet and Neural Prophet) and tracks accuracy with MAPE — so the numbers flag what actually matters.

Reliability & resource truth

Reveal the operational truth behind your platform’s reliability

Continuous measurement of the health, capacity, and dependencies that decide whether your platform actually holds.

  • Application availability, service health, and system dependencies, measured continuously across every monitored resource
  • Resource utilization across servers, databases, services, and integrations — user, memory, transaction, and CPU levels
  • Capacity and growth indicators to support scaling, modernization, and migration planning
  • License usage and consumption trends to prevent processing bottlenecks or overruns before they stall the queue

Process performance & SLA

Tie throughput and completion times to service-level outcomes

Reveille measures how fast work moves and where it stalls, then turns it into compliance-ready service-level reporting.

  • End-to-end visibility into document, content, and transaction throughput
  • Queue depth, backlog, and aging metrics that surface delays before SLAs are breached
  • Processing speed and completion times across workflows, capture stages, and automation steps
  • Service-level attainment — available minutes over monitored minutes less allowed downtime — in the Reveille User Console, scheduled reports, or Microsoft Power BI

Experience, exceptions & risk

Catch exceptions and abnormal behavior before they become risk

Measure the user experience and the failure patterns that expose operational and compliance risk.

  • User activity and response-time metrics across web, client, and API-driven interactions
  • Exception rates, error patterns, and failed transactions across platforms and processes
  • Abnormal behavior and security-related activity to support audit and compliance needs
  • Historical insight into trends that expose operational risk before disruption occurs

Why Reveille

It only works if it always works.

Metrics are the proof layer of Content Observability — the difference between assuming a service level and proving it. Platform SLA is not workflow SLA; Reveille measures the difference.

Part of a broader platform

One observability layer across every platform you run

Reveille Metrics span every major Enterprise Content Management (ECM), Intelligent Document Processing (IDP), and automation platform — so every measurement feeds the same console as the rest of your stack.

Questions

Reveille Metrics, answered

What is Reveille Metrics?
Reveille Metrics is the measurement capability of Reveille’s Content Observability platform. It continuously measures the availability, performance, throughput, and service-level attainment of ECM, IDP, and automation processes using more than 1,000 purpose-built tests — turning operational data into compliance-ready proof, on every platform your business runs on.
How many prebuilt tests does Reveille provide?
More than 1,000 purpose-built tests, capturing metrics that span availability and service health, resource utilization, throughput and queue depth, processing and completion times, exception and error rates, user activity and response time, and capacity and license-consumption trends — across ECM, IDP, and automation platforms.
What kinds of metrics does Reveille capture?
Application and system availability; resource utilization across servers, databases, services, and integrations; throughput, queue depth, backlog, and aging; processing speed and completion times; service-level attainment; exception rates and failed transactions; user activity and response time; and capacity, growth, and license-consumption trends.
How does Reveille calculate availability and service levels?
Reveille calculates Monitor Availability as available minutes over the monitored period, and Service Level as available minutes over monitored minutes minus allowed downtime — at both the monitor and group level, with SLA-grouping credit for high-availability configurations. System Availability is reported separately across all monitored resources, regardless of SLA inclusion.
Which platforms can Reveille measure?
Hyland (OnBase, Alfresco, Hyland RPA), ABBYY, OpenText, IBM, Tungsten Automation, Microsoft (SharePoint, M365), UiPath, and Box — across cloud, hybrid, and on-prem deployments.
Can I visualize Reveille metrics in Power BI?
Yes. Reveille shares metric data through native connectors to Microsoft Power BI with trusted data connectors and report templates, and exposes over 170 REST API methods using OAuth 2 — so metrics flow into the analytics and observability tools your team already uses.
How does Reveille set thresholds on metrics?
Reveille AI applies open-source Prophet and Neural Prophet models (MIT-licensed) to historical metric data to forecast dynamic upper and lower thresholds, replacing brittle static thresholds and reducing alert fatigue. Forecast accuracy is tracked with MAPE (Mean Absolute Percentage Error).
Does collecting metrics add load or risk to my platform?
No. Reveille is a zero-footprint, application-aware solution that does not change the state of, or hold a persistent connection to, the measured system. User-experience metrics use passive, out-of-band collection — not a man-in-the-middle proxy — and no user passwords are captured.
Where are metrics stored, and can it run in the cloud?
Reveille stores metric data in SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL — with MongoDB for high-volume user-analytics retention — and runs on-premises or in AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, including managed databases such as Amazon RDS, Azure SQL, and Google Cloud SQL, with sidecar collectors in Amazon EKS, Azure AKS, and RedHat OpenShift.
Do I need to write code to capture metrics?
No. Metrics are configured, not coded. Reveille ships prebuilt, platform-aware tests and metrics you enable and tune — including the ‘Include in SLA / Reports’ and Capture Process Metrics options — with no custom scripting required.
