The regulated content Documentum keeps under control — observed, assured, self-healed.
When Documentum stalls, business stalls — invoices, claims, audits, customer commitments. Reveille pioneered Content Observability to keep that from happening: it monitors, alerts, self-heals, and reports across Content Server and repositories, DFC, DFS, REST, and CMIS clients, xPlore indexing, Content Transformation Services, and the D2, Webtop, and xCP applications — with self-healing automation built in.

Content Server is green. The controlled document never reached Approved.
Your IT team can watch Documentum server health, CPU, and uptime. What they can’t see is what’s happening to the documents and transactions inside Documentum — the invoices, claims, records, and audit packages that actually drive the business. The platform is at 99.99%. The DFS check-out still timed out and the xPlore index still fell behind before the close. Platform SLA is not workflow SLA.
Infrastructure monitoring ≠ Documentum health
CPU, memory, and uptime tell you the server is running. They don’t tell you whether a DFS document check-out completed, whether the xPlore index kept pace, or whether a CTS rendition finished. Most Documentum failures live above the OS — in the application layer generic tools can’t see.
Silent failures live in the workflow
A Documentum failure rarely shows up as a CPU spike. It surfaces as a delayed invoice, a stalled claim, a missed retention deadline, or a failed audit pull — by which point the damage is downstream and the business is asking IT what happened.
Vendors grade their own homework
OpenText reports on OpenText’s platform availability. Reveille is the independent record of your Documentum service levels — the verification audit, risk, and compliance teams can rely on, written by a measurement layer loyal to the customer.

Every layer of the Documentum stack. Application-aware.
100+ prebuilt, application-aware tests cover the components that actually drive Documentum service levels — not generic infrastructure pings. Wizards and templates spin up a working monitor in minutes, drawn from a library that already understands Documentum architecture. Zero relearning.
Repository core
Connection broker, repository logon, total and active sessions, DQL query responsiveness, DCTM job completion, and object growth.
DFC and DFS lifecycle
Create, check-out, get, check-in, and delete for folders and documents via DFC and the DFS Object and Version services — timed against a threshold.
API transaction visibility
Repository check, folder and document create, check-out, get, check-in, delete, and query across the REST and CMIS 1.0/1.1 interfaces.
xPlore and content intelligence
xPlore search and CPS instances, index agents, xQuery status, and pending, failed, warning, and processing counts; Content Intelligence Services document sets.
Renditions and previews
Content Transformation Services task and queue counts, profile availability, and rendition processing; Thumbnail Server; and Brava service, job, and license health.
Distributed access
Accelerated Content Server status, Branch Office Caching Services cache space and message processing, and Mobile Server repository access.
The services Documentum runs on
Java Method Server status and servlet execution, XML Store availability, Documentum Messaging Services, Process Integrator listeners, and the xMS agent.
OTDS and governance
OpenText Directory Services login, OAuth tokens, partitions, jobs, and JVM health; Retention Policy Services queues, processes, and work-order completion.
Where users and the business meet
D2, Webtop, TaskSpace, and xCP login response times; Archive Services for SAP; and Business Activity Monitoring server, queue, and job health.

Alert. Drill in. Resolve.
Detection is half the job. Reveille closes the loop — from a single threshold breach to a root-cause view in the affected queue, batch, workflow, or service.
Anomaly detected
AI/ML dynamic thresholds learn normal Documentum patterns and cut alert noise from workload variation.
Context-packaged alert
Notifications arrive with the metrics, affected components, and troubleshooting data attached.
Self-healing remediation
When thresholds breach, Reveille can automatically trigger recovery actions — resolving issues before the ticket queue fills.
Documentum operational KPIs, out of the box.
60+ prebuilt dashboard metrics turn Documentum signals into measurable key performance indicators — tracked, charted, and reported through Documentum-aware dashboards.
- Content Server sessions, repository activity, and rendition processing
- xPlore index health, CTS rendition queues, and license utilization
- D2, Webtop, and xCP client performance trends
- Dynamic threshold detection powered by machine learning
See who did what, where — and what was unusual.
Reveille uses patented collectors to observe real Documentum user activity, turning every login, retrieve, search, and document action into auditable, queryable insight.
- Track adoption and end-user response times continuously
- Detect suspicious or abnormal access patterns (insider threat)
- Same-user/different-IP and content-access-breach alerts
- Integrates with OpenText EnCase Endpoint Security and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint
For the processes Documentum runs, a silent failure is a missed commitment.
Documentum platform availability is not the same as Documentum workflow availability. Reveille measures the difference — and proves it to the business, the auditor, and the customer.
