01 · Overview

What Reveille observes in UiPath

Reveille for UiPath provides agentless application management testing and monitoring capabilities to ensure the continued health and productivity of the UiPath platform. The UiPath solution provides over 65 pre-built, out-of-the-box tests that exercise the critical points of the UiPath platform, ensuring peak RPA workflow processing availability. This eliminates the inconsistent manual dashboard observation of your RPA platform health.

Over 90 RPA dashboard metrics are included as key performance indicators (KPIs) that can be tracked over time to provide an at-a-glance view of historical RPA system operating performance such as RPA robot operating health, RPA platform service levels, RPA license status, RPA operating KPI’s, and RPA management console user activity. This broad coverage delivers active and preventive monitoring to avoid red level issues for UiPath environments, improve robot process visibility, and provide granular intraday UiPath threshold-based metrics for real-time management decision making. Reveille conditionally triggers proactive capabilities to reduce RPA processing bottlenecks, redrive repository connections, and can execute PowerShell based recovery scripts to restart RPA required services.

The Reveille platform offers AI machine learning (ML) algorithms to predict dynamic thresholds for reduced alerts from workload variations. The Reveille platform supports the model context protocol (MCP) for communication with AI assistants and AI agents.

The Reveille for UiPath includes the ability to actively monitor the UiPath target applications such as web apps, mainframe apps, databases, etc. are available and responsive before robot execution and reducing process workflow error recovery needs. Agentless monitoring can be extended using Reveille infrastructure wizards for additional database, REST or web services based applications, file movement, docker, and server (PowerShell) component testing capabilities. Reveille has over 25+ connectors available to share the Reveille gathered information across the enterprise with common SIEM’s (such as Splunk) and event/incident management (ServiceNow) using over Reveille 150 REST endpoints.

Reveille for UiPath also supports the following common content services used within organizations: SharePoint Online (SPO); Hyland OnBase; OpenText or IBM or Kofax Capture; and Key Business Applications (CRM, ERP, Vertical Focused Apps).

Reveille’s intelligent automation coverage of over 25 content services and automation platforms provides a full single view of the content services environment and the related business critical applications with Reveille as the key management component for a digital based intelligent automation solution. Reveille, with its agentless design, can rapidly provide the overall visibility, management, and active security for the UiPath platform and related content services products.

05 · Common use cases

What UiPath teams use Reveille for

Is the UiPath platform operating correctly?

This is the first question Reveille answers within the UiPath platform environment use cases. Reveille checks the UiPath system platform health and the UiPath orchestrator health. It also checks whether the robot dependent target applications — web apps, mainframe apps, databases and similar — are available and responsive, so failures surface before robot execution.

Are the UiPath databases in a good state?

Database health is part of the UiPath platform environment use cases. Reveille checks UiPath database operation, size, response and backup status. Out-of-the-box tests cover the UiPathIdentityServer, UiPathInsights, UiPathTestAutomation, UiPathTestManager and UiPathUpdateServer databases along with SQL Server services, deadlocks, active transactions, failed jobs, and transaction log backups.

Are there any UiPath platform errors or exceptions?

Reveille addresses this as part of the platform environment use cases by checking the UiPath execution and automation logs. Related out-of-the-box tests also cover execution log file currency, Studio log file errors, log file size, and the Windows Event Log for UiPath Orchestrator and UiPath Identity Service events, so error conditions surface without manual log review.

Are the UiPath servers operating in a healthy manner and within service levels?

This is one of the UiPath operating environment use cases. Reveille checks UiPath server operating metrics and UiPath web server environment health. Server free space, memory, CPU, and web server application pool memory usage tests feed the same picture, so service level drift is visible before it becomes an outage.

Are all the Robots operating in a timely manner without exception?

Reveille checks the robot operating status and for exception conditions as part of the UiPath operating environment use cases. Dedicated out-of-the-box tests cover robot run time, robot errors, and robot run cycle, and inventory tests cover robots by robot type, machines, machine sessions, and queue items.

How can we recover from UiPath platform errors and remove processing bottlenecks?

Reveille conditionally triggers proactive capabilities as part of the operating environment use cases. It can restart UiPath services, web server application pools, and other dependent services, redrive repository connections, and execute PowerShell based recovery scripts to restart required services.

Is there unusual or suspicious UiPath management console activity?

Reveille monitors management console user activity to detect and manage failed, unusual, or suspicious creation, deletion, or update transaction activity. Out-of-the-box security tests cover the UiPath audit log, suspicious transactions, failed transactions, and unusual transaction activity, and the results appear in the management console application security dashboard.

What is the UiPath server performance and what are the robot transaction levels?

These are the UiPath resource and capacity use cases, which also cover capacity planning and readiness to scale. Reveille checks UiPath server throughput, CPU, memory and network performance, and free disk space. Over 90 dashboard metrics track this operating performance over time for at-a-glance historical comparison.

Are UiPath customer SLA’s being met?

Service level attainment is part of the resource and capacity use cases. Reveille tracks target application service levels and UiPath operating service levels, and supports on demand or scheduled SLA reporting. Dashboard functionality includes the ability to track site and server exception thresholds exposing high risk areas such as service delivery attainment, operational efficiency, and compliance issues.

Given a unit cost, what is the cost for a UiPath machine to run robots?

Reveille answers this within the resource and capacity use cases using dashboard metrics with unit cost for a given UiPath machine unit cost rate. The pre-packaged UiPath metrics enable quick configuration of robust metric definitions using a wizard-based approach, and additional metrics can be defined and added based on your requirements.

How is the overall UiPath environment performing, and is my license current?

Reveille checks the UiPath machine license status and provides a dashboard of UiPath server operating metrics and a dashboard of target application service levels. Out-of-the-box licensing tests cover the UiPath license and the UiPath machine license, so license currency is monitored alongside operating health.

How does Reveille share UiPath monitoring data with the rest of the IT estate?

Reveille has over 25+ connectors available to share gathered information across the enterprise with common SIEM’s such as Splunk and event/incident management such as ServiceNow, using over 150 Reveille REST endpoints. Reveille for UiPath integrates with existing ITOM platforms and incident management systems to extend your existing IT investments, so its data can be shared quickly with many common toolsets used across organizations, by managed service providers, and content services partners.
