What Reveille observes in Tungsten Automation

Reveille for Tungsten Automation provides agentless application management testing & monitoring capabilities to ensure the continued health and productivity of the Tungsten Automation enterprise capture platform operating on-premises or in the cloud. The Tungsten Automation wizards provide over 100 pre-built, out-of-the-box tests that exercise the critical points of Tungsten Automation platforms, ensuring peak application availability. Over 180 dashboard metrics are included or key performance indicators (KPIs) that can be tracked over time to provide an at-a-glance view of historical system performance such as batch queue counts, licenses in use, and batch aging.

This broad coverage delivers active and preventive monitoring to avoid red level issues for Tungsten Automation environments, improve capture process visibility, and provide granular intraday Tungsten Automation threshold-based metrics for real-time management decision making. Reveille conditionally triggered proactive capabilities reduce processing bottlenecks, redrive repository connections, and can execute PowerShell based recovery scripts. The Reveille platform offers AI machine learning (ML) algorithms to predict dynamic thresholds for reduced alerts from workload variations. The Reveille platform supports the model context protocol (MCP) for communication with AI assistants and AI agents.

Reveille checks that the Tungsten Automation modules are connected and active with the Tungsten Automation, and checks the Tungsten Automation server capacity. Together those tests confirm the platform is available and has the headroom to process work.

Are the related capture input sources (fax directories, email import, etc.) available?

Reveille checks that the input sources are available and online. Import folder, email, fax, and web service intake points each have dedicated tests across the TotalAgility, Capture, and Import Connector wizards, so a stalled intake path is surfaced before work backs up.

Are the related capture output targets (archives, repositories, etc.) available?

Reveille checks that the output sources are available and online. Reveille conditionally triggered proactive capabilities can redrive repository connections and execute PowerShell based recovery scripts when an output target stops accepting work.

Are there any application platform errors or exceptions?

Reveille checks the Tungsten Automation server event logs, and the Tungsten Automation server event log and product error logs. Windows event log and error log tests are included in the TotalAgility, Transformation Modules, Import Connector, and Reporting wizards so exceptions are caught at the module that raised them.

How can we know who accessed TotalAgility, from where, and when? How can we know when abnormal access has taken place?

Reveille captures the actual user activity of who accessed what document during what time to assist with audit/compliance/capacity planning reviews and detecting abnormal security user access patterns. Reveille gathers this information using patented collectors, and surfaces it through dashboards, reports, and notification processes.

Are batches being process in a timely manner and within service levels?

This is a Tungsten Automation operating environment use case. Reveille checks batch aging and counts for all Tungsten Automation modules, and checks for batches in error by batch class. Dashboard metrics track batch queue counts and batch aging over time for an at-a-glance view of historical performance.

Are all the scanners operating in a timely manner?

Reveille checks the VRS efficiency. The Virtual Rescan wizard tests scan rate, sheets scanned between feeder, multi feeder, and paper jam errors, camera health sheet scan currency, and roller health, uniformity, and clarity percentages.

Is TFS input capturing work in a timely and efficient manner?

Reveille checks that batches are being created and capture input sources are moving files. The Front Office Server wizard adds in process transaction count and age, release error counts, server and application server transaction rates, MFP job submission, and user inbox transaction count and queue time.

What is the Tungsten Automation server performance? What are the transaction levels? How can I plan for capacity?

This is a resource and capacity use case. Reveille checks Tungsten Automation modules batch throughout, checks Tungsten Automation server CPU/Memory/Network performance, and checks Tungsten Automation server free disk space. Those measures together give the transaction levels and headroom needed for capacity planning.

Are customer SLA’s being met?

Reveille monitors service level reporting, provides dashboard batch level metrics for a process, and performs Tungsten Automation export processing rate evaluation. Threshold-based intraday metrics make service delivery attainment visible for real-time management decision making.

Reveille provides dashboard batch level metrics with unit cost for a module processing rate. Because metrics are tracked over time as KPIs, the resulting cost view can be reported historically as well as intraday.

Reveille checks the Tungsten Automation station license count and page count, provides dashboard metrics with license and page counts, checks the batch levels for each Tungsten Automation module, and provides dashboard queue metrics with batch counts.
