Message Details

The Protocols: Message Details page enables you to see the individual message details based on your filter criteria.

The following information appears at the top of the Protocols: Message Details page.

Protocol. List of current licensed protocols. Select a protocol to change the details displayed on the page.

Users. Displays the current users. Click Search to search for a user or select a specific user to filter the message detail information.

Time Span. Choose the time span for the transactions. Supported values are listed below.

  • Last minute
  • Last 10 minutes
  • Last 30 minutes
  • Last hour
  • Today
  • Last 24 hours
  • Last 2 days
  • Last 7 days
  • Last 14 days
  • Last 30 days

Message Type. Select the message type(s) to display. The content of this list is based on the current protocol you selected.

Client IP. Use this to filter your results by the IP address of the users. The default All includes all users. Multiple addresses should be separated by a comma (,). The NOT (!) operator is supported. The client IP value can be a partial IP address. For example, Client IP Address = 192.1 will return users whose IP address begins with 192.1.

Server IP. Use this to filter your results by the IP address of the server. Multiple addresses should be separated by a comma (,). The NOT (!) operator is supported.

Message Status.Select the message status to display. The content of this list is based on the protocol selected.

Client Port. Use this to filter your results by the client port. The default All includes all ports.

Server Port. Use this to filter your results by the server port. The default All includes all ports.

Message Data Name. Select the message data name to display. The content of this list is based on the current protocol you selected.

Message Data Value. Displays the current data value. Click Search to search for a value or select a specific value to filter the information.

Value Search. Enter a value to locate within the message details data.

Refresh. Choose how often the page should be refreshed.  

  • Every minute
  • Every 5 minutes
  • Every hour

Refresh Now. Click for an immediate refresh.

Message Listing

The message listing displays the following information.

Viewing Page x of y. Use the buttons (First, Previous, Next, Last) to navigate through the transaction records.

Save. Click to save the current view, based on the filter settings, to a file.

Rows Per Page. Select the number for rows to display per page

Transaction details are:

  • User ID
  • Client IP
  • Server IP
  • Bytes Sent
  • Bytes Received
  • Total Bytes
  • Message Time
  • Duration
  • Message Type
  • Message Status

Click the Expand button () on the left to view the message data.

Click the Collapse button () to hide the message data.
