Section/Option

Description/Action

Options. Select the check boxes of the Test options you want to enable.

Disregard Any Errors

When selected, e-mail and page notifications are not sent in the event of a Test error, and testing continues as normal.

Notify Always

Always send a notification for any error condition. Use this option when you want to be notified for any Test error.

Include on Alerts Page

When selected, the Test's error information is listed when All Alerts or All Production Alerts are selected from View Group/Monitors in the Reveille Web interface.

In the event you are monitoring a business process, you may not want to select this option because these alert pages indicate system problems, not business process problems.

Graph Response Times

When selected, Resource response times for the Test are included in the Response Time graph in the Reveille Web interface.

Notify Again

Send a notification if a different error occurs. Use this option when you want to be notified when a Test error occurs that is different from the previous error for the same Test.

Note: If the Notify Again option is checked and the Test has detected an error state, the following will occur: The next time the Test runs, the Monitor compares the full new error message (Test response) to the previously saved error message. If these are different, then all notification flags are reset, causing notification at each level.

The notification message used is the new generated short message, not the one currently stored in the database (ErrorMsg2). Normally ErrorMsg2, which can be edited in Error Maintenance, is used. Because of the Notify Again option, the new error message will be used for notification.
