Configuring General Multi-Server Settings
The General configuration options for a multi-server environment enable you to:
- Define which server is to run the database maintenance
- Define which server is to run distributed synchronization
- Define the network location used for updating shared files
To configure general options:
- Click
Multi Server Settings on the toolbar; or, from the Reveille Admin console menu, click File < Multi Server Settings. The Multi Server Settings dialog box appears.
- Complete the following under the General tab:
Section/Option |

Database Maintenance Server |
Specifies the server that is to run the database maintenance. |

Select the data maintenance server from the dropdown list. |
Distributed Server |
Specifies the server that is to run distributed synchronization. |
|
Select the distributed synchronization server from the dropdown list. |
Distribution Share |
Specifies the network location, called the Distribution Share, to used for updating shared files. |
|
Type the network directory that should be used for updating shared files. Clear the box to disable multi-server synchronization. Note: The Monitor Service and Application Pool must have access to the Distribution Share. File changes are not synchronized until the next maintenance cycle. This applies to the Local Server and all Worker Servers. |
