Configuring WMI Data Source Properties

The WMI data source collects information for each WMI namespace/class entered into the data source properties. A data package is created for each class. The server can be local or remote to the Collector based on the connection information.

Data Package

The data package is matched to the WMI Wizard /Test through the following:

• Server name
• Class

Sample Data Packet file name:

DataPackage.WMI_<server_name>_<WMI_class>.xml

Properties

NameSpace,Class1…N. One or more wmi namespace/classes.
