Using the Windows Application Script Editor
Installation
You can install the Windows Application Script Editor
on your system by navigating to
<Reveille Installation Path>\Reveille\Support\WinAppClient.
Double-click WinAppClient.msi to install the application.
Note: If you are using the WinApp client on a target server for proactive processing, copy WinAppClient.msi to the target server and then proceed with the installation.
Usage
The Windows Application Wizard runs the script editor to build a new script or edit an existing script. The editor lets the user add, delete, and edit commands in the test script for a specific resource function test. Pointing to a specific command provides a brief description of the command on the bottom of the Script Editor dialog.
You can begin using the Script Editor when you first configure the WinApp Monitor to run specific tests. You can also access the Script Editor directly from the Start menu at any time by clicking Start > Programs > Reveille Script Editor.
To use the Script Editor, complete the following steps:
- To Add or Insert a command into the script, double-click the command from the command list. The UnLockComputer Command window appears.
- Enter the appropriate command parameters.
- Click OK.
Configuring the Windows Application Client
To set the Corporate Key for using encrypted data such as User ID and password, start the Windows Application Script Editor, and select Corporate Key.
To set Test Script Options, start the Windows Application Script Editor, select Options > Test Script Options. These options set the WinApp Client listening port, script and command time outs, and trace file size options.
