SharePoint Site Metrics Component

The SharePoint Site Metrics component enables you to test the SharePoint site metrics.

Test Site Metrics

Settings Page

Select what to test. Select the type of capture process metrics Test:

• Check SharePoint Server Current Page Requests (not available if Office 365 SharePoint Online is selected)
• Check Number Subsites
• Check Number of Lists
• Check Number of Document Libraries
• Check Number of Files in Document Library
• Check Number of File Versions in Document Library
• Check Site Collection Storage Size
• Check Site Collection Storage Quota
• Check Number of Folders in Document Library
• Check Number of Groups
• Check Number of Users

Depending on the Test selection, complete the following input:

Computer Name. Enter the Host Name or IP Address of the target computer.

Credentials. Enter the authentication information for the target computer. The Windows account should have read and write access to the SharePoint site.

Document. Enter the SharePoint Document name. Select the Refresh button to query the available document names; leave blank for all document names.

Include subfolders. Select to include the subfolders contained in the Document Library, clear the check box to not include the subfolders.

Library. Enter the SharePoint Document Library name. Select the Refresh button to query the available document library names.

List. Enter the SharePoint list name.

Request Type. Enter the page request type. Select the Refresh button to query the available request types; leave blank for all request types.

Site. Enter the SharePoint site name.

SubSite. Enter the SharePoint sub site name.

Threshold. Enter the appropriate threshold value.

Test Definition Page

Resource Name. The name of the Monitor Resource associated with the Test.

Test Description. Text automatically generated from your selections.

Expected Response. The expected response for this Test. (Limited to 255 characters.)

Turn On Debug Messages. Enable to generate debug level messages during Test execution.

Output Metric(s). ( Optional) Select a Metric to evaluate and track Test results.

Run the Test. Add the Test. Adjust the Time Out value if needed. Click Next.
