SharePoint Server Performance Component
The SharePoint Server Performance component enables you to test the SharePoint server performance.
Test Database
Settings Page
Select what to test. Select the type of server performance Test:
- Check SharePoint Server Average Disk Queue Length
- Check SharePoint Server Disk Percent Idle time
- Check SharePoint Server Available Memory
- Check SharePoint Server Percent Processor Time
- Check SharePoint Server Requests Queued
- Check SharePoint Server Requests Rejected
Depending on the Test selection, complete the following input:
Computer Name. Enter the Host Name or IP Address of the target computer.
Credentials. Enter the authentication information for the target computer. The Windows account should have local administrator rights on the target computer.
Drive. Enter the appropriate drive letter.
Processor. Enter the CPU identification or leave blank for all CPU’s.
Threshold. Enter the appropriate threshold value.
Test Definition Page
Web Server Performing Test. The name of the Web Server executing the Test.
Resource Name. The name of the Monitor Resource associated with the Test.
Test Description. Text automatically generated from your selections.
Expected Response. The expected response for this Test. (Limited to 255 characters.)
Turn On Debug Messages. Enable to generate debug level messages during Test execution.
Output Metric(s). (Optional) Select a Metric to evaluate and track Test results.
Run the Test. Add the Test. Adjust the Time Out value if needed. Click Next.

This is the end of the Test. Choose to add another Test or end the SharePoint Server Performance section of the Wizard.
