Kofax Front Office Server Platform Component
The Kofax Front Office Server Platform component enables you to test the Kofax Front Office Server ability to process work.
Test Platform
Settings Page
Select what to test. Select the type of platform Test:
- Check KFS service
- Check KFS shared folder
- Check KFS server free disk space
- Check KFS web admin client access
- Check KFS thin client access
- Check KFS web service access
- Check KFS accepting requests
- Check KFS log files size
- Check KFS release error log file
- Check KFS release error file count
Depending on the Test selection, complete the following input:
Check errors logged within the last. Select or enter the appropriate number of minutes.
Computer Name. Enter the Host Name or IP Address of the target computer. For KFS web service tests, enter the Host Name or IP Address of the target KFS computer running the KFS web service.
Credentials. Enter the authentication information for the target computer. The Windows account should have local administrator rights on the target computer. For KFS web service tests, enter the Kofax user account credentials to access the KFS web service.
Drive. Enter the appropriate drive letter.
Path. Browse or enter the file path. The path entered varies based on the type of test:
- Check KFS shared folder. UNC share or local file path to …\KFS35\Config
- Check KFS log files size and Check KFS release error log file. UNC share or local file path to …\Kofax\Front Office Server\Avalin\jboss\server\avalin\log
- Check KFS release error file count. UNC share or local file path to …\KFS35\ReleaseError.
The Windows ID and Windows Password used for the above file paths must also be a local user on the Kofax Monitor Server. This is needed for Windows impersonation to work correctly.
Response. Default response for KFS web page or KFS wsdl.
Service Names. Enter the Windows Service Name for the desired Windows Service. (Default values for Kofax Front Office Server are pre-filled.)
Threshold. Enter the appropriate threshold value.
URL. Enter the URL for the KFS web page or KFS wsdl. Replace the <host> with the KFS web server name and <port> with port number (if not default port).
Test Definition Page
Resource Name. The name of the Monitor Resource associated with the Test.
Test Description. Text automatically generated from your selections.
Expected Response. The expected response for this Test. (Limited to 255 characters.)
Run the Test. Add the Test. Adjust the Time Out value if needed. Click Next.
Next Steps Page
This is the end of the Test. Choose to add another Test or end the KFS Platform Component section of the Wizard.
