Kofax Front Office Server MFP Scanner Component

The Kofax Front Office Server MFP Scanner component enables you to test the Kofax Front Office Server MFP device scanner components.

Note: The MFPdeviceconfig.xml configuration file is required to be modified before running the MFP Scanner component of the KFS MFP wizard. This file is read by the Kofax Front Office Server MFP Wizard, MFP Scanner component to display MFP devices that match defined KFS MFP devices. The match is based on the MFP model field as defined in KFS and the modeltype element in the configuration file.

The MFPdeviceconfig.xml configuration file is located in the <Kofax Monitor Installation Path>\Reveille\Web\ReveilleTests\Kofax directory for a default installation.

Test MFP Scanner

Settings Page

Select what to test. Select the type of MFP scanner Test:

• MFP device specific check 1 
• MFP device specific check 2
• MFP device specific check x

Depending on the Test selection, complete the following input:

Computer Name. Enter the Host Name or IP Address of the target KFS computer running the KFS web service.

Credentials. Enter the Kofax user account credentials to access the KFS web service.

Refresh. The MFP Device grid will populate with of KFS MFP devices that matches the MFP device model names configured in the MFPdeviceconfig.xml file. Select the desired MFP device to create tests based on the tests configured in the MFPdeviceconfig.xml file.

Test Definition Page

Resource Name. The name of the Monitor Resource associated with the Test.

Test Description.  Text automatically generated from your selections.

Expected Response. The expected response for this Test. (Limited to 255 characters.)

Run the Test. Add the Test. Adjust the Time Out value if needed. Click Next.
