xCelerated Composition Platform (xCP) Application (Documentum D6/xCP) Component
The xCelerated Composition Platform (xCP) Application component is a flexible development platform for automating complex, information-intensive processes to drive better business decisions.
Select Test Page
Select what to test. Select the type of xCelerated Composition Platform Application Test:
- Check BAM Database Responding to Query
- Check BAM Server Status
- Check BAM Job Run Status (BAM 2.0 or later)
- Check BAM Message Queue Count (BAM 2.0 or later)
- Check xMS Agent Status
- Check xMS Agent Log File Size
- Check xMS Agent Log File for Errors
Depending on the Test selection, complete the following input:
Connection Broker. Enter the Documentum Connection Broker (formerly known as DocBroker) for this Test. A Connection Broker is a name server for the EMC Documentum Content Server. This should be a server name followed by a port number.
Credentials. Enter the authentication information for the Repository.
Database Settings. Enter the Database Provider, and the ODBC DSN Name and authentication information.
Filter by records older than. Select a search range by time in minutes, and then provide the following:
Date/Time Regular Expression. Enter an expression to use for locating the date time in the log record.You can click
and select an option from the list to help build the expression. Click Help for Regular Expressions to access the Microsoft Regular Expression Syntax web page.
Date/Time Pattern. Enter the date/time pattern to use to parse the date time string, or leave the default. Click Help for Date/Time Pattern to access the Microsoft Custom DateTime Format Strings web page.
Log File Name. Browse to select, or enter the log file path. The file name must be a fully-qualified file path relative to the local or remote server. If using the Collector, the file path must match the file path used by the Collector.
Maximum number of errors. Enter the maximum number of search string matches to return. A -1 (the default) indicates unlimited number of search string matches indicating an error.
NameSpace. Select the namespace to be used for this Test. Click
Refresh to get a current list of namespaces.
Repository. Enter or select the name of the Repository for this Test. Click
Refresh to get a current list of Repositories. If there are multiple servers for a repository, you can be specific about the server you want to connect to.
- Requesting a server on a specific host: To connect to a Documentum server that resides on a specific host machine, specify the repository as: repository@host_name.
- Requesting a server by name on a specific host: To connect to a specific Documentum server that resides on a specific host machine, specify the repository as: repository.documentum_server_name@host_name.
Response. Case sensitive expected Test response.
Search For. Enter a search string using simple text, or using regular expressions. The default value of ERROR|WARN counts all log records with an ERROR or WARN status.
Text. Enter the search text.
Text matching a regular expression. Select one of the default expressions, or click
and select a search option from the list. You can optionally type additional text. Click Help for Regular Expressions to access the Microsoft Regular Expression Syntax web page.
Server Name. Enter the name of the server where the files are located (used for Collector access).
Table. Select the table to be used for this Test. Click
Refresh to get a current list of tables.
Threshold. Enter an appropriate value:
For Check BAM Job Run Status, enter the job age in minutes.
For Check BAM Message Queue Count, select an operator, then enter the number of BAM messages allowed in the queue.
For Check xMS Agent Log File Size, enter the number of gigabytes.
URL. Enter the URL of the BAM or xMS Server.
Use Impersonation. Select to use Widows impersonation if you are not using SQL authentication.
Test Definition Page
Resource Name. The name of the Monitor Resource associated with the Test.
Test Description. Text automatically generated from your selections.
Expected Response. The expected response for this Test. Limited to 255 characters.
Run the Test. Add the Test. Adjust the Timeout value if needed. Click Next.
Next Steps Page
Choose to add another Test or end the Documentum Content Intelligence Services Wizard.
