xPlore (Documentum D6/xCP) Component
Documentum xPlore (xPlore) component is a multi-instance, scalable, high-performance, full-text index server that can be configured for high availability and disaster recovery.
Select Test Page
Select what to test. Select the type of xPlore test:
- Test xPlore Search Instance Available
- Test xPlore CPS Instance Available
- Test xPlore Administrator Console Available
- Test xPlore Plugin Status for Repository
- Test xPlore Index Agent Available
- Test xPlore xQuery Search is Enabled
- Test Indexing Agent
- Test xPlore Index Pending Count

- Test xPlore Index Processing Count
Depending on the test selection, complete the following input:
Check activity within the last. Select the time period of xPlore indexing activity. Default is 30 days.
Credentials. Enter the authentication information for the Repository.
Content Server. Enter the Documentum Connection Broker (formerly known as DocBroker) for this Test. A Connection Broker is a name server for the EMC Documentum Content Server. This should be a server name followed by a port number.
Java Proxy Server. Enter the name of the Reveille java proxy server, default is localhost:4444
JMX Agent service URL. Enter the name of the xPlore Indexing agent JMX service URL.
Name. Parameter name passed to the xPlore Index engine; default is dsearch_qrserver_host for xPlore.
Repository. Enter or select the name of the Repository for this Test. If there are multiple servers for a repository, you can be specific about the server you want to connect to.
- Requesting a server on a specific host: To connect to a Documentum server that resides on a specific host machine, specify the repository as: repository@host_name.
- Requesting a server by name on a specific host: To connect to a specific Documentum server that resides on a specific host machine, specify the repository as: repository.documentum_server_name@host_name.
Response. Case sensitive expected test response.
Port. Enter the XML Store database port.
Server. Host Name of XML Store database.
Threshold. Enter the appropriate threshold value.
URL. URL of the xPlore web application
Value. Host Name of xPlore server (case sensitive); value for parameter name passed to the xPlore index engine.
xPlore Server. Host Name and port of xPlore server.
Test Definition Page
Resource Name. The name of the Monitor Resource associated with the Test.
Test Description. Text automatically generated from your selections.
Expected Response. The expected response for this Test. Limited to 255 characters.
Output Metric(s). (Optional) Select a Metric to evaluate and track Test results.
Run the Test. Add the Test. Adjust the Timeout value if needed. Click Next.
