Configuring Aviva DCOM Components

In order for the Reveille Aviva test scripts to run properly, you need to configure the Aviva DCOM components by setting the Identity and giving the user Activation permissions.

To configure the Aviva DCOM components, repeat the following steps for the Avia 3270, 5250, and VT220 Display Sessions:

1. From Windows, click Start > Administrative Tools > Component Services.
2. Expand the tree to show DCOM Config.
3. Right click Aviva 3270 Display Session, and select Properties. The Aviva 3270 Display Session Properties window appears.
4. Set the Identity to a local administrator account.
5. Click the Security tab.
6. Under Launch and Activation Permissions, select Customize, and click Edit. The Launch Permission window appears.
7. Ensure the user entered under the Identity tab has Local Launch and Local Activation permissions. If not, click Add... to add the user account.
8. Under the General tab, set the Authentication Level to None.
